Vex frowned softly, looking back at Ares.
"Any clue...?"

Ares seemed to shrug.

Vex slowly drew her katana and headed towards the voice.

the singing got louder, then suddenly stopped, as if it was cut short.

Oh, great.

I tell everyone to get out of the vine and scatter.
Then I run in the direction of the noises and scream.
It's a pretty girly scream, too. And shrill.

She frowned more and glanced behind her,checking the expressions of the others before continuing in.

they all do.

the noises stop, and you suddenly see the animal.

its a gaint bat.

as big as a small elephant. blood was dripping from its teeth, and it eyed you before roaring.

other bats flew around it, and one caught your eye. all of them had black eyes.

this one had a purple sheen to it.

they all were listening.

the sound came back, louder than before.

She held her breath momentarily before calling out.
"Who's there?"

The singing stopped, and Vexa got no response.
