Janet hummed contentedly as she finished the Kool-Aid and started eating her corndog.

Ray nibbles on a steaming bowl of rice, occasionally drinking some abacatada which is a delicious avocado smoothie type drink thing. I don't know how to explain it but its amazing.
"Don't people usually add something to the rice?" Austyn asks Ray, who shrugs and continues eating his rice plain.

Janet continued eating, then turned to Ray. "Is Silvia and Micah okay? I didn't see Silvia after the fight," she added nervously.

"Micah I believe is ok. He said he was a bit shaken, though. I haven't seen Silvia since Riley and she climbed down the tree." Ray says quietly. "I haven't seen Riley either, but I don't really care where he is or what trouble he has gotten into or what problem he may be facing. It's pretty obvious he hates me and I can't find the strength within myself to return any different feelings."

"I think Riley hates all new people," Janet said with a shrug. "I hope Silvia's okay."

"Perhaps." Ray says after a moments silence. "I hope Silvia is ok too." He didn't want anyone getting hurt because of monsters that he was supposed to get rid of.
Austyn was eating his applesauce and not paying any attention to the twos talking.

Silvia nodded, then continued eating. "I hope a lose a tooth soon," she blurted after a few moments of silence- she hated silence, so she tried filling it with talking.

"Really? Whatever for?" Ray asks.
"Tooth fairy obviously. You get money or some treasure when you lose a tooth. Though you kill a tooth fairy if you eat your dessert first." Austyn says.
"When was this tooth fairy business started?"
Austyn shrugged in response to Ray's question.

Janet stared at Austyn. "I've killed so many tooth fairies!" Her eyes teared up and her jaw started shaking slightly. The eight-year-old looked like she was on the brink of crying.

Austyn stares back at Janet, feeling terrible for saying that and at a loss of words. Ray gets up and goes to Janet, giving her a big hug.
He knows next to nothing about fairies but hopes something will come to mind soon when he says, "You know what I've heard about fairies? Whenever a child laughs, a fairy is born. You've helped them a lot!" He stops himself before rambling on and saying things along the lines of since it may get overcrowded its okay to kill some. Ray hopes he wasn't failing at this. He was never good at lying when he didn't know anything about what he was trying to lie about.
