"Um...maybe? I'm not entirely sure."

"Do you know w-what soccer is?"

She was a little annoyed that he had to ask, but then again she didn't blame him. It took everything she had to not reply rudely. "Yup. I just wasn't sure how schools coach their soccer, whether it's the same as the national soccer people do."

He nodded, looking to her. His eyes showed that with this topic he was well distracted from remembering what she'd caused for him. "W-would you like me t-to explain? I-I could teach you about the s-system and a lot of other things. I-if you want." He didn't fully smile but the corner of his mouth seemed to twitch a bit into a faint smile.

Well, she wasn't about to say no and just totally crush him. She shrugged. "Sure, why not."

Now he smiled a bit more, seeming actually excited that someone wanted to hear what he knew. "Sh-should I start when th-they pick the players and what they look for or should I just get into the game plays and stagities?"

She didn't really care so she just chose the first one. "When they pick the players."

He bounced a little in his seat, innocently happy. She was doing a lot for him despite how simple it seemed, just someone listening made him happy. "Okay, so often they pass out flyers, correct? Well, they usually tend to watch the kids they pass them out to and most of the time they will subtly approach someone they see talent in and at some point get them to try out. The thing is, from the start there are people they have their eyes on."

She smiled, glad that she could make him happy, especially after all that she had taken away from him. "So...did they choose you because you had some serious talent?" She asked

He fiddled with his shirt hem a bit. "W-well, I don't think I have any t-talent. Being honest, I th-think I might have been p-part of the group that was taken in b-because we didn't have enough p-players if they took the good in alone."
