"hi there, cowboy" i greet, accepting the vase from him in exchange for one of the bottles of lemonade. "you look nice" i say, grinning up at him. he takes a seat across from me, and i offer him a slice of lemon bread. it's homemade, so i know it's about as perfect lemon bread can get, and i spent a lot of time on the glaze.

"so how has your day been?" i ask, unscrewing the lid to my lemonade and taking a sip.

"I'm good how are u and u look cute." I smirk as I take a bite of the lemon bread u gave me. "Oh my Lord this is good." I take another bite then drink some of the lemon juice u gave me. "Oh my lord this is good to." I blush and takes another sip then I sit it down.

"thank you" i giggle, nibbling on my lemon bread. the sun is out, it's a nice, warm Sunday, everything is perfect. i close my eyes, inhaling deeply.

just as i sit back and relax to enjoy the day, a bright blinding light overtakes my vision. my heart nearly stops and i freeze, no. nonono. not this again!

this time, five minutes later when the light has faded, i feel different. it's there, but i don't know what it is. it's like there's some sort of...thing inside me. not a physical thing, of course, but something. something that edges on the fringes of my consciousness, poking at my memories.

i can tell Braxtion feels the same thing, as he looks about as bewildered as i do. everyone in the park looks bewildered.

"I like u." Blushes shyly "ur cute, funny, and i like hanging out with u. I would like to get to know u more."
My ears twitch "And yes I saw the light to but I was hardly noticed it because I was looking at u. And I hope ur ok the look on ur face changed when the light came just then."

"uh yeah, i'm fine" i say, mentally pushing the thing at the edge of my brain away. "i like you too" i say. giving him a smile "i wouldn't mind, say, going to the botanical gardens tomorrow?" i suggest, doing my best to suppress my anxiety over the situation with the lights. i'm sure it's nothing, i don't look any different, i'm probably just imagining things.

"Yes Ma'am I would like that very much." I finish the lemon slice and juice u gave me. I take off my hat and sit it on my knee. "You picked the perfect spot for today." I look out at the water as I sigh. "Its rely pretty here."

"thanks" i say, looking out over the water at the ducks floating lazily over the water, smiling to myself. everyone else around us seems to be shaking off the effects of the light, so i don't think it's a problem. i'll just focus on enjoying the day right now.

I take a picture of the water, then I look at you shyly as I blush. "So Ma'am how was ur day?"

"it's been good, yours?" i ask, turning away from the lake and focusing my attention back on Braxtion.

"Good so far." I say happily as my tail slowly wags. I smile shyly as I look up at you.
