suddenly, shadow darts off into the underbrush, snuffling around on the ground before pausing, and looking excitedly at a bush. you are wary, is it a trap? an ambush? what do you do?

I go to it being wary and attempted to move the bush.

a small animal leaps from the brush, lunging at you and hissing. shadow pounces on it, scooping it up in his jaws and swallowing it. he gives you a goofy grin, butting his head and purring. dearg laughs while annamet simply looks annoyed at the detor.

shadow freezes at your feet, and before you can stop, pukes up part of the dead animal on your feet. "a gift...how nice" dearg grimaces, poking it with a stick. shadow looks pleased with his actions.

I smiled and pet Shadow, "Thank you for the gift Shadow,"
