"I'm Ray." Ray says, recognizing the person in front of them as Jack, not that they knew his name. "I should have figured we'd meet up eventually again." No last name was given. None ever was when it came to Ray. They're hair was covered by a hat/hood. Can't have people recognizing them because of their unusual colored hair now, could they?
"I'm Ryan Smith. And this is Sam, my sister." This one looks like he won't take things seriously right off the start.
"I can introduce myself just fine." Sam says, playfully nudging her brother. "Yes, I'm Sam and I'm his sister." She seems like the more responsible of the two.

Jack gave a nod, hiding his surprise to see Ray again. "Alright. A pleasure to meet you all, and surprisingly once again." He said the last part softly to Ray. "Now, we should get started." He pulled up his paper. "Let's see what you all can do first. I do hope you all are ready to give determination and get gritty. I will not make this easy on you, and I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of you decide you can't handle this."

"No worries. I'm not going to give up." Ray says, "What are we to do first?"
Ryan and Sam look as eager as Ray to start. The whole group was confident and didn't think they would give up.
"What's first? Sword fighting?" Ryan asks.
"I don't think we're going to jump right into that. There is a lot of other stuff to do other than fighting. There's the long marches from battle field to battle field, drilling, and there's the strategizing, following instructions, the certainty of..." Whatever Ray was going to say was left unsaid as they got a little uncomfortable under Ryan's gaze.

"Ray is correct. But let's do a few laps to get you warmed up, then we'll get you started with the basics. Stances."

Ray did their quirky salute thing before heading to do a few laps. Ryan takes of at a much quicker pace than Ray, not exactly thinking about pacing himself. Sam was a tiny bit slower than Ray, kept the same pace the whole time, keeping just on their tail. The two of them had passed Ryan, who crossed the finish line a little after them.

"Only about four." He said. He didn't approve of how Ryan took it. But he approved of Ray and Sams' system of pacing.

"Stances next, right?" Sam asks, making sure she was remembering right. Ryan tried to jump right into doing stances, wanting to prove that he could be better than Ray and Sam.

Jack nodded, crossing his arms as he watched Ryan. "Rushing will waist energy, if you can't react smoothly and quickly then that's death in battle. But you also need to make sure you calmly take balence, not rushing or they'll knock you over." He said, coming up to Ryan and nudging him with the hilt of his sword.

Ryan falls, and Sam catches him. He brushed her aside. "I had it." He mumbled. A little bit embarrassed, but not about to give up.

"Steady your feet, part them with one behind you." He said, sheathing his sword and showing. "If you have no weapon and have to fight by hand, you never have your hands in front of your face or they'll hit those and get you there." He put his hands a little lower than most would. And he motioned for any of them to try and knock him over.
