I bare my teeth. The audacity of this wolf, this alpha, to say we should flee in fear of man. I stand to my full height before raising my voice.
I have just claimed the Northern territory and you would have me and mine flee in fear of man! I say we should teach them why we are not a species to be hunted! I say we stand our ground! I am not going to flee in terror like a pup! I am an alpha!
I widen my stance and raise my head in pride.

I agree we are no match for man. Frost says. But they have guns. Fleeing for a bit of time wouldn't kill us.Guns will kill us from afar if we stay. Frost concludes. His head held high.

Auryon huffs before turning to leave. I'm returning to my territory, howl if you need something. I must make sure my boarders are safe. Auryon runs of speeding over the landscape until at last she can smell her territory. She finds her coyote friend and nuzzles him in thanks before leaving to hunt a young buck. She strikes quick and true taking the young buck down and dragging the carcass back to her rock before feasting on its flesh and allowing the coyote to finish the rest. After cleaning herself she settles down to rest for the night, the coyote promising to watch the boarders for now.
