Finley looked down at her hip, then her hands. She went to the back and washed her hands. She stared at them till they shifted back. Her coworker came back and looked at her concerned. She ensured them that she was fine and they left her alone. She covered the cut on her hip with a paper towel then returned to work.

Sean shifted with the clattering of blades as he picked up his jacket and began folding it. His tail was relaxed as it swayed behind him. He felt a lot better with his wings not cramped but knew he couldn't be seen like this.

Finley's coworker tapped her on the shoulder, telling her to check out back. She gladly did so. She opened the back door and looked out. "Oh! Goodness, hi again!" She said as she saw Sean. She smiled at him and waved.

Sean jumped in shock,spinning around to face Finley. His wings folded in tightly and he shyly waved back,blushing dark golden of being caught with his wings out.

She walked over to him. "You okay doll? You always look so panicked. You should probably cover up your wings cause if anyone else saw them, you'd be screwed." She said.

He nodded,letting the feathers and blades retract as he quickly pulled his jacket back on and held his skeletal form of his wings to his rib cage until he had the jacket zipped up.

Finley sighed. "Are you okay?" She asked. She tried her best to smile, but it came off slightly awkward.

He nodded,his tail wrapping tightly around his left leg again,tight to the point where you'd think it would cut off his blood circulation. He stayed put,looking up and gently returning a smile just as awkward because he wasn't sure what to do.

Finley nodded. "Ahm well, I uh, ya..." she said quietly. She looked away. Her face was covered in worry. "Maybe don't hang around in a shady back alley. That is kind of dangerous."

He felt confused on why she was worried. 'She...can't be worried about...me,can she?...I'm...just a random person...does she care?' He wasn't nosy enough to ask but he responded to her. "I know,n-not to b-be disrespectful. B-but I...usually come back to th-them when I n-need to sh-shift for a minute o-or two."
