"Stock up? For what?" Haran asks. After thinking for a couple seconds, he turns pale. "Y-you aren't thinking of searching for the Devil, are you?!"

"yeah why not, think of what the elder would do! we would be famous!" she said happily.

A tall girl walks up to you. It's Pixi, a serious-looking girl a year older than her. You've known her for a while now:



"Hey, Sammy, why the long face?"

Oh yeah. She's pretty formal.

"The elders would kick our butts! What if the Devil is really far away? Then you'd have to go without seeing everybody, too!"

"if your so worried about me then why don't you come along?" she said rolling her eyes.

You wake up to something bright in your eyes. Sitting up, you see that one of the rocks surrounding the Magijan camp is reflected sunlight from its mica. You can see one or two people wandering around, having already left their small stone huts.

Haran stares blankly at Luca. "B-but wouldn't that make it worse? Then we'd be in double the trouble!"

"well im going whether anyone likes it or not." she said packing up some of the drawings "now im going to head back and try and sell some of these." she started to climb down "come on squirt."

"O-okay!" Haran says, quickly sliding down the tree. "But when are you- er, we going to leave?"

"tonight. no one will see us and its easy at night." she said walking back
