I smile, nod, and turn back to the pond. Concentrating, I repeat what I did for the water lily, but imagining a forest instead. After some time, I manage to get about five trees. Not quite a forest, but I beam at them anyways. Not loosing focus, I continue to try to make more trees grow.

Slightly frustrated, I sigh and start over. This time, instead of focusing on the details, I just let my imagination go. It takes less time than the first two tries, and the trees weren't like any ones in the real world, but they were alive. The wind rustled the leaves, the branches swayed and groaned. Slowly, without loosing concentration, I walk forward and place my hand on one of the trunks. Solid. I glance at my mentor.

"Like this?"

"Ok, thank you." I dash outside with my Sylesties following.
