You both hear a scream that seems to be getting nearer and nearer

"Oh. Yes."

"Have I discovered a ghost? It doesn't sound like one... Then again I've never heard a ghost talk before so I guess I wouldn't know because not all movies and shows are accurate. Techniclly none are because they're all fake. You're internally rambling again, Coraline. May be it's one of the other guards I'm supposed to be working with."

"Are you one of the night guards?"

There's scraping on the floor that sounds almost like claws

I jump a little hearing it.

"That doesn't sound good. Can I come in please?"

It seems to be coming from the other hallway

"It's coming from the other hallway. But can you please let me in? I don't feel safe out here."

(My bad, I just saw the quotes and assumed you were saying it in a stressed tone)

"Uh, fine, but don't murder me please, and please don't be that freaky robot from earlier" I say, going over to the door and unlocking it, peeking through the crack in case it really was an animatronic. Upon seeing the fellow human, I step back, opening the door all the way. "This is the office... there's a few hiding places, and, uhh, we have to print some stuff, I think" I say awkwardly

The animatronic continues searching, looking for a human to stuff into an animatronic suit

I step inside the office.

"Thanks."

"Scratching is a good sign of a ghost, but not a nice ghost."

"Printing stuff... We're night guards, we're supposed to look out for robbers. I didn't expect printing things as a part of it. But I guess they might not want us to be bored. I'd rather be staring at cameras then printing. I guess if it's part of the job though..."

"Watching cameras for ghosts, or chasing a ghost would be so much more fun..."

I pull out my phone and go to the wall closest to the other hallway. Waiting for the scratching sound to come again.
