Kaladin stooped down and glanced at a cluster of sea loins lounging several hundred feet down the shore. "So, you've lost your pack...." He said slowly, avoiding Selkie's gaze.

"Yes, the sea takes what is rightfully her's or at least that's what I've always been told." Selkie glanced at the sea lions. "A sailor rightfully belongs to the sea."

Kaladin nodded slowly, gaze set still on the sea lions. "...What exactly happened that you blame yourself, If I may ask? No one can control the storms..."

"It wasn't a storm that sank us. I took up a passanger that wanted to go to an island that I knew was surronded by danger and I ingored my instints not to go. Her eyes, she must have been a siren." Selkie shook head.

"A siren?" Kaladin inquired with a tilt of his head, not understanding what a siren was.

"A danger of the sea they are suppose to be just a legend but she was all to real. The best way to explain a siren is normally a woman with a hyponotic voice normally they live in the sea and can't stand on the land. Siren's normally cause shipwrecks by hyponotizing the crew of a ship into driving the ship into rocks or a reef." Selkie explianed. "In short if you ever see a person sitting on a rock with a tailfin plug your ears and row in the other direction."

"Selkie...." Kaladin said, finally looking back at him.
"...That is the single most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Ingabe ugula?*"

(Are you ill?)

"It's not ridious if you've encountered one or live on the sea. Besides that's one of the more believable stories I've been warned about." Selkie looked at Kaladin.

"Yes the most outlandish story I've ever heard is about the world on the back of four sea turtles.'' Selkie explained. "There are some things in this world that can't be explained so over the year people have used stories to try and explain them."
