(Can you see it now?)

It pulls on your leg harder, its webbed hands surrounding your foot. It makes small high, bubbly noises, as if it is trying to communicate with you.

((Yes! It's beautiful!))

Kuro bends down to place a hand on theirs, watching them curiously. "I will fall over..." She tried to speak in the language if all fabulous animals, the language that everyone understands. She wasn't fluent in it, so she used hand gestures as well.

I continue on to the lake while listening for any sort of danger.

The creature seems to recognize what you are trying to say. It speaks back to you, in the language of animals. You can't make out all of it, but you can make out the words "come ... queen ... won't hurt you". It tugs on your hand.

Before long you come to a lake. The lake is a beautiful bright blue, like that of a child's drawing. You can see trees ringing the it. Everything seems peaceful, contrary to the tales you've heard.

"Underwater?" Kuro asks, wanting to know. She wasn't an aquatic animal of any kind... So breathing may be a problem.

I walk to the edge and stare down into the water, wondering if it's safe enough to go for a swim.

It bobs its head, and swims downwards for a moment. It returns with a small ball of some sort, that looks to be made of a kelp-like plant. It burbles again, and you catch the words "eat ... breathe". It holds the ball out to you.

As you investigate the lake, you see something flash through the water for a second before disappearing, however you can't make out what it is.

I stand as still as possible, hoping that I can catch a glimpse of it again.

You catch a glimpse of a large scaled tail flash through. It is thin, like a wire, and green and purple.
