@Griffinlokison Okay.

@Duckymomo I would have to saw Pegasus, 1: he is a flying horse (oops! sorry Pegasus!) he hates being called a horse in The Pegasus Series, 2: he is the son of Poseidon and the cousin of Artemis.

See, I don't know much about Norse other than the Magnus series, which though it was really good I can't absolutely say its completely factual. I have a Norse myth book I bought that has full myths and legends in it so once I read that I might be more familiar with it. ^ ^ I think Freya is my favorite from the Magnus series. XD I tend to like characters who are bright but have that hint of magic to them. ^ ^

@Eevee17 Pegasus is pretty cool. :) I guess I've never really considered him a god, since he's more of a beast but you do have a point. ^ ^ Medusa has always been interesting to me and Sirens are pretty cool too. XD

@Duckymomo: What do you mean Magnus Chase wasn't factual?

@Eevee: Once you read the Lightning Thief, you'll understand why I don't like the movie.

@Griffinlokison Okay.

@Duckymomo If Pegasus wouldn't count I would say Artemis.

Since it's the only thing I've read about Norse mythology I don't have anything to compare it to. I guess factual was the wrong word to use......I guess it's kind of like with the Greeks, with Percy Jackson I had the Illiad/Odyssey by Homer to compare the modern take to the classic. I guess it's really just a matter of writing style and how it's told. If that makes a bit more sense.

@Eevee17 I would say he counts. Artemis is pretty cool, I've always liked her with her huntresses. :)

Yeah, and also I like Apollo, in The Pegasus Series, Apollo is the only one able to control his sister Diana also known as Artemis.

I own a book of Norse myths and stuff, and I find that Magnus Chase is very close to it. The gods are just embracing the modern world in the books. Same with Percy Jackson and Kane Chronicles.

@Eevee I've never read that series. Is it good? How long is it?

@Griffin I have friends who are pretty adamant about Norse Myths so I know a little bit and the general stuff but I've never sat down and read a book just about Norse. I think I read a Rune series (don't remember if it what it was called) that was about modern day Valkaries or something....(also something about Balder but I don't really remember....it was a while ago and mostly a teen romance...which are kind of a dime a dozen now-a-days) but other than that I'm pretty novice when it comes to it. XD

Oh, I've started reading the new Apollo book, I'm about half-way but when I finish I'll hop on your other thread and talk about it. :)

The Pegasus Series is 6 books long, I can read one of those books in a few days, and they are thick.
