SPOILERS I guess

It's basically about a glade full of boys (we don't have to make it like that, though), and one day the main character appears in there (the kids in the maze have no memories except their names). Apparently, the Glade is surrounded by a maze that is filled with monsters that attack them during the night. The maze changes every night, and it's been years since the first person appeared in the Glade. The Gladers, or the people who live there, have certain people chosen to be Runners, who run the maze during the day before it closes at night, and make maps of it. One day a girl appears, and for some reason remembers something about their life before the maze. They later escape it an all that.

Basically that's the first book.

But the story behind the maze is something about some of the people being immune to the Flare. The Flare is a virus that targets people and makes them mindless, suffering, zombies that rot away. The people who have turned are called Cranks.

The people who are trying to come up with a cure are called W.I.C.K.E.D. They need the immune people to come up with a cure and are the ones who put them in the maze anyway.
