"When should I expect you at my greenhouse?" I ask, ever the practical one.

"Umm, I don't know," Ames said, sighing. "I don't even know how long I'll be here."

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.

"I'm a mercenary, I've never been in one place for more than a year since I started working. And now I;m waiting for the next job, and it come at any time," Ames said with a shrug.

"That's awful. I can't remember a time when I wasn't living in this little village. I've never left our- my plants."

"It's not that bad. You know, you think the sky is the same in every place but it's really not. You gotta see the sky from somewhere else one day," Ames said. "But friends are bit harder to come by," she admitted.

"I wouldn't really know much about friends, the last few I had left a long time ago. They said I was too 'Depressing to be around.'" I won't admit that I was depressed, but even back then I knew real friends would've helped me through the incident, not just left me behind.

"Well that's a load of bull," Ames said, waving her cucumber angrily before eating it again. "I don't know much about friends but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't consider them friends," she said.

"Looking back on that, I think they really just used me to get at the honeysuckle." I say, grabbing one in the process to suck on.

"Well obviously that's what I've been doing this entire time too," Ames said, leaning across the counter and grabbing a second honey sucklle.
