He did come pretty close~ Unfortunately, nurtures on health I don't think help beyond 1k. (I think something happened in the programming with that) and users views also help the pet grow up faster as well, so more direct links to the page makes it harder to max the stats. (In comparison to a pet being nurtured via the hatchery option)
