Amber glanced around and sighed softly, rechecking her watch "alright. Lets get this party started." She slipped on her filter mask, and grabbed her bag, as Winter cantered back over, having gone to play with a small lizard.

Winter snorted softly and returned to chew on his shirt a little before standing calmly next to Amber, her presence and stature changing from playful and bubbly to serious and alert.

Amber placed a gentle hand on her neck and smiled "Winter generally helps around the digs by carrying supplies, artifacts, and making sure everyone drinks enough water. She is also a service horse, for a medical condition I have, which is why I had to bring her to this dig."

(Sorry about not posting sooner, I was at a family thing with my Grandmother.)

"Fine. I'll come. I'll make a map as we're in there," Ripley said exasperatedly.

She put on a mask and brought out a sheet of paper and a pencil.
Ripley also clipped a flashlight to her belt using a carbine.

Amber set the bag full of items right in the center of the entrance, kneeling and quietly saying the prayer in Swahili, as the elder had instructed her. After it was finished, she carefully stood up, turned and looked at the team, then grinned behind the mask "Lets get started, shall we?"

Josi smiled and put on her mask, walking towards the entrance,"Let's do this!" she looked towards the others, making sure they were ready.

Amber slowly walked inside after moving aside some rubble and handing out headlamps. She slowly walked into the entrance, stopping in her tracks and gasping softly at the sight of the carvings and artwork that adorn the walls and ceilings of the tunnels "someone get like sketches or pictures or something... this is amazing..."

"On it," Ripley said as she took out another piece of paper and started sketching the images on the wall.

I watch all of this with amusement as I follow them, unaware that Rex now has in his mouth something that looks suspiciously like a dragon tooth.

He didn't ask if the horse would be all right going through the caves. There was a chance there was a deep ledge somewhere and Winter could easily snap a leg and everyone knew what would come next.

His attention was soon very easily captured by the designs on the wall. He stood beside Ripley, fishing through his bag to take out his heavy-duty flashlight and shine it on the wall to assist her.

Josi walked inside, stepping over rocks and rubble. She looked at the walls and opened her mouth in awe,"This is amazing. Are we sure this isn't what we came for? This is already great!"
