For example there is a game called animal jam, it started out fun, but then I found out that over half the thing there you need to spend money to unlock. :P

I don't see it either, honestly. It confuses me to no end why they just can't accept those who are of a different gender to what they perceive to be the 'norm' and someone of a different sexual orientation to cis.
Disowning someone certainly doesn't help, it's certainly not going to change someone, not deep down, anyway. But as my friend said, she's better now, and yeah, she would have loved it for them to be able to accept her, to have her in their lives, but they couldn't, and that's their loss.
She's so much more than they'll ever be, she's more because she faced their hurtful words, she faced being thrown out of her childhood home and being threatened by her own father, she's better than them because she can honestly say that she's better for it, that she's stronger and so much happier than she ever could have been had she hid who she was.

I've heard of animaljam, a lot of people have talked about it actually, I think it was one of the first ever real pet adoption games out there, sad that it's that type of game, though.
Also, I just looked it up, and I've got to say, I'm not mad keen on the art myself, don't think I would have played it had it been completely free if I'm honest. Just not my kind of style, really.

True. I agree. I was taken out of my gran's will because she hated me and my sexuality. And also my grandad's and my uncle's. They're like uber-Christians. I mean, what can they do though? Make a bomb tat only kills gays and other such?

Haha, I know, yeah. I find that a lot of the more bigoted side of things come from the older generation, stuck in their times as they are, that is then transferred down to the newer generation of their family, like some unsightly infection.

I enjoy interacting with other people, but animal jam restricts just too much unless you are a member. You can't even type the word "hello" because animal jam says that it's 'not a appropriate word' ! >:(

Seriously? What are they thinking? How is 'hello' not an appropriate word?
I've known restrictive sites/games before, but that's just downright idiotic if you ask me -can you imagine posting an image or something that says 'hello' in it and getting in trouble? Hahaha, honestly, I'd probably find that hilarious in the way that it's just ridiculous.
