Ainsleigh & Tatsu

Ainsleigh was actually panting when she had arrived at the blind she was talking about. It was was protected on three sides by a bramble thicket that stretched 100 ft or so in both directions. The back side was in a low creek bed that was hard to notice from any appreciable distance because of all the foliage. There were some nearby oak and a willow tree on the other bank that lent if cover also. It was secluded, cozy and softened by heather and loam placed there for Sylestie comfort. And she was thankful to finally be there as she dropped Tatsu's tail onto the silty bank and plopped onto the heather moss to wait their guests. The sun had baked the area a little and it's light filtered in almost green through the overhanging leaves. One deep cleansing breath helped her to be calm.

Tatsu really needed to lay off of the extra helpings at meal time. It was amazing a creature so massive could actually take flight with so much mass! She was certain his head had bumped against two or three rocks lodged in the earth as she dragged his sleeping bulk across the landscape. Served him right though for trying to hog an entire barrel of draeyl draft by himself. To her utter surprise he started yawning not long after she dropped him.

Two serrated rows of teeth were exposed as the hulking specimen yawned and scratched where he itched. His grey, slitted eye popped open and looked at Ainsleigh as he smacked his maw. "Where are we?" His bass voice groaned.

Ainsleigh was about to speak, then turned her head and shushed him. Several sets of bootsteps were heading there way, then just as quickly passed them by. It had to be at least 30 or 40 bandits from the number trampling the forest. And they were heading straight towards where the puffadores were left!

Tatsu & Ainsleigh

Rowena's bark was faint but audible. "That didn't take long. Let's go Tat, the puppies need our help." Ainsleigh said to her mate, then she seemed to evaporate into the ether thanks to her astral armor.

Tatsu was still groggy, but wasn't going to leave his female to fend for herself. "Coming." Is all he replied with, then took a few bounding steps and took flight. Once he was cruising his astral armor shielded him from view.

The astral armor gave them both an unusual camouflage like invisibility, though is was really more of a mist so there were occasional visual distortions about them that could give hem away. Ainsleigh covered the ground quickly and making quick work of most of the bandits she encountered from behind. Meanwhile Tatsu covered the distance by air. His keen eyesight noted Rowena, so he swooped down shouldering into three bandits nearby and blowing another pair off their feet. He turned to face the bandit that had Rowena and was menacing her with a cutlass. The bandit was about to make a demand, then he slumped forward, knocked unconscious from behind by a well placed kick from Ainsleigh. She caught the bandit by the shoulders so Rowena wouldn't get smothered by the bandit. "Be careful next time?" Ainsleigh said in a somewhat demanding tone.

"That's the closest thing to asking if you are alright that she'll give." Tatsu shared with Rowena. "Where are the others?" he asked the little puffadore.
