Dusk raised his voice so Soul could hear him clearly as she took to the sky, running behind her, "I keep telling you to sleep in the Fighters' den! The dirt is too hard to flake off and ruin your feathers, so it's not like you'll get dirty. Not only is it warm from shared body heat, but it's a whole lot safer, too. You'll freeze to death if you keep sleeping in those trees of yours."

"And your right, we do need to do something to deal with at least one of the two," he sighed, "I'll mention it in the assembly when we get back to see if any ideas."

((Well I meant it used to be a zoo so there's a cave and bushes and flat ground with trees. The railings and stuff all had nuclear decay happen))

"Well I sleep in my tree because well, it's not natural for birds like me to nest on the ground." Soul called. She caught sight of a herd of caribou. "Caribou up ahead! There's a couple of old bucks lagging behind! I'll go for the little ones since I can't do much for big prey!" She tucked her wings in and began to dive, snapping them out last second and extending her talons. Her large talons sank into the pelt of the small deer and it bleated, calling for it's mother. With a few strong flaps and much flailing around, Soul finally lifted the deer to a height and dropped it, a sickening crunch as it fell to the ground. "I got one!" Soul announced.

((I'm not gonna roleplay anymore, just say Iktar was eaten by some bird and Initia went rogue and the squirrels after her and they killed her or something. Life is catching up to me, I'm gonna have to quit all roleplays I'm in))

"Alright, a great job as always!" Dusk yelled over the sound of stomping hooves, hurling himself at a large buck at the back of the herd.

The caribou went down, rolling on its side from being thrown off balance. Dusk didn't give it the chance to right itself before he clamped his claws into its shoulder and his teeth around its throat. He refused to let go as it struggled to breathe, slowly strangling it to death.

"Sage.. I.. If you leave then I guess I can come with you.." Jikal smiled small, the went to go get Sage some moss.

"You'll do none of the sort! I will apologize to Unity immediately. Plus, I've exiled Initia. Isn't that enough?" Wynde said frimly. "Times are harsh and cold. We need to stick together! We're a group, a pack, a clan, whatever you wish to call it! Are you just going to let a thieving fox make you give up?"

"Great job," Soul screeched from above, after picking up her kill. "We might as well quickly go back and announce we're moving south. According to my calculations, if we move to the equator the temperature will be a couple of degrees above zero celcius, since now is about negative 50 or so." Soul flapped her wings, waiting patiently for the leopard to get his kill. While waiting, she let her sharp gaze scour the land below her again. Everything looked... so dead. "This may be the only prey we'll be seeing in a while!" Soul warned from above, seeing no other signs of life or movement.

"I feel that we would stand a better chance joining Unity is all I'm saying." Sage sighed standing again. "There are only three of us now, if we join them then we can definitely defend ourselves from the carnivores."

"Let's just hurry back, your feathers must have some frost on them by now," Dusk said, lugging his kill onto his back, "The sooner I make the announcement, the sooner we can start the trek."

"Alright. But do know that my feathers freeze less frequently than normal birds; I've lived in harsh cold climates long enough to adapt." With a screech, Soul plummeted downwards into the camp site, snapping her wings out last second to slow her descent. She took a look at her kill. It was frosted over; the blood was frozen. Soul cringed in disgust. "Alright everybody! Food's here! Eat up before it freezes!" Soul called to the rest of the Unity pack.
