"We just killed a dragon, most people would have already turned tail." Ase said. "I know I would." She said rubbing her arm. "Say you'er a mage can you fix his arm?"

"I would have to see it, I may not have enough magic." Marcurio said standing. "May I see?" He asked Anton.

"Takes more than a dragon to scare me off! Besides, that's what I signed up for," Anton said, before turning to Marcurio. "Err, it's not pretty," Anton warned hesitantly. He pulled the glove off his left hand. His hand was covered with third-degree burns, and he was missing two of his fingers.

The mage took a long look at the hand being careful when he turned it over. "I can't do much for the fingers but the burns I can at least sooth. It may take few tries but I think I can help. Mind if I ask what happened?"

"Damn fairy tales," Anton said, glaring at his hand. He looked up again. "I'm a changeling, a fairy child left in place of a human one. The legends give multiple ways to get rid of us. One of them is to put the child on a shovel and hold it over a fire or pretend to throw it in the oven. Its real mother would come to save it and return the human child, and everyone would be happy. Unfortunately for me, that is an old wives' tale," Anton explained. "A few of the villagers tried it out when I was ten or so," Anton finished, letting Ase and Marcurio fill in the blanks. He shrugged, and said, "Anyways, I guess it turned out alright in the end. I'm still alive."

"I'm sorry to have asked..." Marcurio said rubbing his hand over Anton's hand. The skin pulled some some parts actually mending. "This may take more tHat I thought, fear not though it can be fixed, at least what's on the inside, the outside well it won't be very nice to the eye." The man smiled. "Right then that should do for now, shall we get a move on?"

"Thank you. You've done more for that hand in five seconds than anybody else has done in eight years," Anton said appreciatively. He turned to Ase. "Lead the way!" he said, his old excitement returning.

Ase smiled. "On ward then to adventure! Who knows we may even find another dragon. I mean we really did it, we really killed a fire breathing dragon. Those things are only from legends what are the odds of us finding one?"

"All good points. I wonder what could have brought them here..." Marcurio said thinking. "I'm glade I could be of some help, I assure you that it won't be the last time."

Anton grinned. "Well, let's hope we find another one! Now that we actually have some experience," he said. Then he paused in his excitement. "Did it actually breathe fire though? I never saw it do that," he said.

Ase thought of a moment. "Well I didn't see it spit fire either, but I'm sure it was a fire dragon." She said. "I don't really know if I want to meet another one, their kind of unpredictable."

"But if you met another then there would be three of us instead of just two." Marcurio added. "We would be sure to send a dragon packing!"

"Definitely! Especially if we all train together every night," Anton said determinedly. He turned to Marcurio. "So where are you from anyway?" he asked. "I haven't seen you around."
