But I swear to Arceus if Litten ends up with Fire/Rock or Fire/Ground evolutions (as are the latest rumors) I'm picking Popplio. I do not WANT that combo because it will be one shot by anything with a water attack.

I'm one of the people hoping it was fire/poison aha. It'd be a unique combo. Fire/dark makes me think feline version of Houndoom aha.

If Popplio turns into a water/fighting, I'd be equally disappointed.
Rowlet being grass/flying is a bit unoriginal (not as a starter, but as a combo), but at least it may be cute aha.

I want Litten to be dark type BECAUSE I love Houndoom so much. Houndoom rocks the fire/dark typing which is another reason I would love Litten to. I wouldn't mind a unique Fire/Poison also though

Fairy isn't a bad guess actually. That'd be pretty cool aha.

A water/fairy vs fire/dark would be interesting in a way. It'd be a compelling reason to pick Popplio LOL (with all those memes about the hate on Popplio and Popplio possibly getting back at its unpopularity)

I saw a while a go someone talking about a theory that the starters are going to be themed like how gen 6 was an RPG theme ( Chesnaught=Knight Delphox=Mage and Greninja=Ninja/Rogue) but Circus this time. Rowlet =ring master Litten=Performing animal and Popplio=circus clown/ if it does get the fighting type a strong man. Can remember who said this though.

Honestly I thought Popplio getting a fairy typing would be cool and it could go from this derpy little guy into this majestic creature. Litten I hope follows the whole Chinese zodiac theory and becomes a tiger, as for the speculated ground type...not too fond of that...electric which I have heard a lot of people wanting would be cool or poison I think would be sweet. Rowlet is most likely going to be my choice but I really wish it could become a grass ghost type. I love ghost types and I just have this image of an amazing looking ghost owl.

Oh, if Poppilo ends up as Water/Fairy, i might consider it. I'm waiting on the final evo designs, tbh, as much as i love Rowlet i gotta be realistic.

Now i'm hoping Poppilo IS Water/Fairy, and instead of being like Azumarill, is more like Frillish and Milotic. Then it's waaay more likely i'll pick Poppie. Idk, that's how i'd design it. No more clowns you guys, please. P l e a s e.

Litten, gosh. Fire/Dark would make a lot of sense. I can definitely see it learning a LOT of Dark moves whether it types as such or not. The electric theory is growing on me though...does kind of look like he stuck his tail into an outlet, XD and electrical fires are a thing........
