the puffadore you're interested in would normally cost 300g. You get 15% newbie discount + 15% SALE discount.
total is ... *pulls out calculator* ... 217g you save 83g!
regular: 300g
newbie discount: 300g x 15% = 45g
newbie price: 300g - 45g = 255g
SALE discount: 255g x 15% = 38.25 ~ 38g
SALE price: 255g - 38g = 217g

Rhea would normally cost 250g. you get both discounts:
reg.: 250g
newbie dis.: 250g x 15% = 37.5 ~ 38g
newbie price: 250g - 38g = 212g
SALE dis.: 212g x 15% = 31.8 ~ 32g
SALE price: 212g - 32g = 180g
total is 180g. you saved 70g!
