When Jade woke up the next morning, she was still half clothed, and the book fell off her bed as she got up. She had fallen asleep reading again. That was common. She grabbed the book under her bed, put a bookmark inside it and got ready to take a shower, yawning. After finishing up, she went down and prepared breakfast for her mother and her. It was still early, yet the sun had already risen. Remnants of the long days of summer, Jade guessed.

Daniel woke up this morning with a massive headache, and in a bad mood. He'd had a dream, again. An eerie one, with hundreds of dancing puppets. He wondered if that had anything to do with Kire's ability. He had a distinct sense that something was afoot, but had no idea what.

The ear piercing sound of the alarm clock violently jerked Vozhak out of his blissful slumber and he quickly mashed the snooze button. Nearly half an hour later, he woke up on his own and looked at the time and his clock blinked 0730, "NO!" he yelled as he quite literally rolled out of bed and rushed to the bathroom to quickly take a shower. Vozhak jumped in the shower, bringing hsi toothbrush with him, then turned on the icy water and began washing his hair and furiously brushing his teeth. As he spat the toothpase out ahd rinsed his hair, his mom started the dishwasher and it made the water blazing hot. With an unusually girlish scream, Vozhak jumped out of the shower, taking the curten with him. Still dripping wet, he pulled on a pair of underwear and a pair of black jeans then stuffed then pulled his boots on. He grabbed his back pack as he rushed out the door, banging his head on the door frame. He tore down the road and got to the bus stop just in time.

Kire had a lazy morning, she took her time with everything. Her mom drove her to school that morning and she sat outside the school with sleep still in her eyes. Everytime a bus pulled up she would perk up to see if Vozhak was on it, but he wasn't until the last bus showed up. He looked exausted and he had a bump on his forehead.

Jade came by bike once again, and arrived right on time. She parked her bike, and walked through the school entrance, just as Vozhak arrived. He looked like hell. She approached him, wondering if he was alright. Then she noticed Kire, sitting on a low windowsill near the entrance of the building. She said hello to Vozhak and waved at Kire, and they both approached her.



Daniel was still uneasy about last night's dream. He was sitting on his chair in B 213, an unlit cigarette in his mouth. Smoking was forbidden in the grounds, so even if smoking cleared his mind, he hadn't lit it. He waited for his first class, seniors, to begin, while wondering how to help the three kids without drawing too much unwanted attention on them from the rest of the staff. He still had no real answer...

Vozhak sat in the grass next to Kire and said hello to her and Jade. "Where did you get that bump?" Kire said motioning to Vozhak's forehead. "Low door frame when I was running out the door." He said rubbing his head then his elbows, "I also fell out of the shower." He added as he tried to look at his elbow. "You got all kinds of beat up, huh?" Kire said trying to laugh. She was still a little upset over her parent's fight, her dad slept in his car last night and it made her heart lurch.

The bell rung making the three disband to go to their classes. Kire climbed the stairs and moped into her first class. Vozhak walked with Jade until she turned into her class. Vozhak dreaded his first class, but at least he could get it over with first thing in the morning.

Jade walked to the English class, that was her favourite. She loved anything that had to do with words.... That and biology were her favourite subjects. She still had no friends in her own class, but she didn't feel bad about his at all anymore. She eagerly noted the books they would study this year. She hadn't read them yet, but always welcomed new books to read.

Daniel on the other hand, had a really boring morning. Seniors were way more rushed than other classes, due to the exam at the end of the year, and so the classes suffered from a deep lack of spontaneity. This made it boring for both students and teacher...

Vozhak constantly zoned out during class lectures, he really should have recorded them so he could go back to them after school. Athletic class was probably the only one that he really was good at. the other students enved his ability to lift over twice the amount of weights as they could. He wasn't too excited about Mr. Lanton's class but it couldn't be awful.

Kire was basically a ghost floating through the school, not being her chatty self. She had snapped at a teacher and got written up for it., there was no way she would hear the end of it from her mother. Kire actually didn't want to go home after school tody, regardles of the consiquence.

Unfortunately, the second class Jade had this morning was maths, a subject she was really bad at. She never got why they had so much letters in a class that was supposed to deal with numbers. It always frustrated her. She never knew what to do with the exercices. She fiddled the equations around to no end, going in endless circles.

For the freshmen class, Vozhak's one, Daniel had thought of a funny introduction to acid/bases reaction, using homemade jam. Much to the surprise of the students then, the class began with a saucepan full of mashed apricots.

Growing more and more frustrated with the students around her in her math class, Kire began to freak out. They wouldn't shut their mouths and listen to the explination of the lesson and then they whine bout not knowing how to do the worksheet, and even during the re-explination they still talked away. Kire wanted to pay attention and learn how to finish her work so she could get of task with no regrets. The talking grew louder and louder causing Kire to go insane;she just snapped. The stress from home and school just got to her so much. Her eyes began to burn then she stood up and shouted at the top of her lungs, "EVERYBODY SHUT THE **** UP!!!!" All the student's mouths were forcefuly sewn shut by an invisable hand forcing them to become silent. They clawed at their mouts, trying to remove the non existant sutures holding their lips shut. The instructer's eye widened as she looked over all of her students then she made eye contact with the outraged girl. Kire realized what she had done then sat down in her chair with a destressed look on her face. There was a loud ringing in her ears and she got the worst head ache in her life.

At the end of his class, Daniel headed for the teacher's lounge. There, he met with Mr Dobson, the math teacher, who was telling a story while drinking coffee. "I mean, really, I had not expected that coming from her. Kire had seemed to be rather calm and obedient. She suddenly got up and yelled "Shut the **** up" like that. The rest of the students were really shocked, because none of them talked for the rest of the class. They seemed a bit distressed, but that may have been the shock of the outburst. I had to write her off beca...". Daniel interrupted him suddenly, asking "Wait... nobody talked ?". The maths teacher shrugged and said : "No, even when I asked them questions. That was a bit odd".
Daniel stormed out of the teacher's lounge in a hurry, under the quizzical looks of the teachers there. He wanted to see Kire right now, to ensure she was fine, and warn her not to do that again. However, he couldn't do this without attracting unwanted attention on the incident. He also decided not to call her to his classroom later, as this would also be suspicious, since it was the second time in a row.
Eventually, he decided that he would have to find her at the end of class by himself.

Kire was distraught by the whole ordeal with her power. Her head was still poudning and she was tempted to call her parents to pick her up early. This was the illest she's ever felt in her life, she had a massive headache, just about every mussel in her body ached, she was drowsy and nauseated. During the next passing period, Kire could barely walk the flight of stairs. Vozhak was coming down the stairs when he saw Kire slowly taking one step at a time. "Kire, you don't look good." Kire helplessly looked up at the giant, but it made her so dissy that she started to fall backwards off the stairs. Vozhak quickly grabbed Kire by her arm before she fell out of his reach. He rushed down the stairs, Kire's arm still in his massive paw, then picked her up, "You going to nurse's office." He said as he rushed down against the traffic on the stairs.
