(I dunno who else I should ping. But I have no idea what to role-play. I'm bad at starting things, and I feel like a giant derp or something. I dunno. Canary is just being in the cafeteria. Doing something probably.)

Victoria waves the new girl over to her table. "Hey, I'm Victoria." She shovels some mashed potatoes in her mouth before continuing. "What's your name?"

Tessa walks up to the table as well, her plate containing mostly meat but at least the dragon was modest enough to have it lightly cooked. She sits down quietly beside her rider and friend to silently listen to the conversation, the many brilliant blue sapphires she chose to wear gleaming brightly and hanging from their silver chains.

Canary walked over and took a seat. "I'm Canary. Hi. I'm, Uh...New here. " She starting eating her food, looking at the other person at the table. They seemed rich, with all the gems and such. They hadn't greeted her or anything so she ignored her.

"Well nice to meet you Canary." Victoria leans in closer. "So, what's your story?" She takes a thoughtful bite of her string beans. "Everyone here has a story you know." She gives the girl a sidelong glance. "I make it my personal goal to listen, or figure out, everyone at the academy's story." Victoria rips apart a chicken thigh with her hands and takes a huge bite. "Sho, what'sh yoursh?"

Tessa rolls her eyes. "Leave the poor girl alone would you Vicky?" Privately she tells Victoria. "She probably wants to eat her meal in peace, so leave her be." The raven-haired girl takes a bite of her steak, still extremely rare and almost raw. "You can call me Tessa." She manages not to spill any of the red juices dripping from the meat as she eats, a lot more delicately than the fiery red-head sitting beside her. Her plate is filled with an almost ridiculous amount of meat, steak, pork ribs, chicken thighs and even a whole fish.

"Ok. Hi, then. I don't really have that much of... a story, I guess." She ate more of her food. "Well, Um, What's it like here? I mean, your not new, right?" (I don't know really what meal they're eating, so I'm not sure how to be specific.)

"Hmm, it's a little weird at first, with you know, dragons being everywhere but you get used to it. And I've been here awhile, me and Tessa be graduating together at the end of the year." Victoria says, nudging the black haired girl with her elbow.

Tessa looks away from her friend, trying to hide her amber eyes, whose pupils aren't quite round, like those of a cat. She eats slowly and deliberately, checking each morsel carefully before eating it.

(It's a large buffet style thing so there's pretty much everything.)

"A merfolk." Nyzaennath echoes her words with disbelief. "I suppose that makes sense." He knew that she was some kind of halfbreed but a merfolk? From what he knew they rarely came up to the surface and there's no way an elf could live underwater. The large green dragon stands, coming up to the water's edge. "Can I see?"
