Hisao's first reaction was to bolt - there was no way the three tiny pokemon could fend against the liepard. But when Wisteria started shouting at it, some of his rationality came to him. There was no way any of them could outspeed it.
He looked at the pokemon dubiously before snapping off a branch. "Litten, could you set some of it on fire? Mudkip, can you soak the other half so I don't burn myself?" He hoped he could wave a flaming branch and it would maybe scare the wild pokemon.
Mudkip and litten turned their attention to you, the water type letting out a small stream of water to dampen half the stick, while litten meowed before sending out a spout a fire, igniting the branch in your hand. As you brandish the flaming stick at the wild liepard, it hisses, backing away nervously at the flame before fleeing back into the underbrush.
"That was... remarkable" Wisteria said, brushing his coat off as he stood to his feet. "They listened to you... its taken me months to get them to do anything I ask, and even then, they hardly listen" Wisteria said, looking at the litten and mudkip who assisted you. "How did you do that so easily?"
Mudkip and litten turned their attention to you, the water type letting out a small stream of water to dampen half the stick, while litten meowed before sending out a spout a fire, igniting the branch in your hand. "That was... remarkable" Wisteria said, brushing his coat off as he stood to his feet. "They listened to you... its taken me months to get them to do anything I ask, and even then, they hardly listen" Wisteria said, looking at the litten and mudkip who assisted you. "How did you do that so easily?"
"I think it was because we were in danger more than anything." The trio didn't seem to be the particularly rebellious type to him, at least at first glance. Then again, it seemed like Wisteria had lost them right before they first met, so that shouldn't be a surprise. He chuckled at the thought of the three pokemon making the researcher lose his head again and again. "How much farther to the village?" He turned to look at the little ones with a smile. "I could carry you guys whenever you get tired, you know."
"I think it was because we were in danger more than anything." The trio didn't seem to be the particularly rebellious type to him, at least at first glance. Then again, it seemed like Wisteria had lost them right before they first met, so that shouldn't be a surprise. "Ah, so you think they're more inclined to listen in moments of danger, I would've assumed it to be the opposite" Wisteria hummed, taking his notebook out and writing something down.
"The village isn't much further... and how generous of you to offer to carry us, is that invitation open to me as well?" He asking jokingly laughing a bit as litten didnt hesitate to jump onto your shoulder, bulbasaur also reaching its vines up as a request to be held
"Ah, so you think they're more inclined to listen in moments of danger, I would've assumed it to be the opposite" Wisteria hummed, taking his notebook out and writing something down.

"Hey! I am not an old man, I'm not even 30" Wisteria feigned offense at your words.
The two of you make your way back to the village, Wisteria stops you two in front of the closed gates.
"Oh Alden, is that you up there? Open the gate and let us in please, I've found someone quite interesting I'd like to bring to lady Gaia" Wisteria calls up to a man sitting atop the wall.
Moments later, the gate opened, and two guards stood before you. Wisteria spoke a few quiet words to them and they stood aside, watching you- or perhaps the three pokemon alongside you- quite closely
"Hey! I am not an old man, I'm not even 30" Wisteria feigned offense at your words.
The two of you make your way back to the village, Wisteria stops you two in front of the closed gates.

"I didn't know you three were celebrities," he whispered as quietly as he could to them.
He's guessing this is the predecessor of the Castelia City he visited once upon a time when he was younger. The sea being close by would be nice Hopefully, he wouldn't be deemed too weird to stay. Wisteria didn't seem worried, so he'd try not to worry either. He couldn't help but be a bit irrationally nervous anyway, though it didn't really show in his face.

"This is the plasma exploration building, my lab is also in here... that stone fort over there is where the king and his sons live, they're the rulers of our settlement... and then to the east is skyarrow port, where most people enter from, seeing as its the only port on the region at the moment" Wisteria explains as he begins leading you up a light of stairs into an office.
"Mister Wisteria, how unexpected." The woman said as she professor entered. "Although I must again remind you again, please knock before you come barging in"
"and I remind you that it's Professor Wisteria, not 'Mister'"
The woman sighed, her attention shifting to you. "And who exactly is this person? I've never seen someone... quite like this around" She said, standing from her desk and walking over. "My name is Captain Gaia, may I know who you are?" She asks, moving to stand in front of you with a polite smile on her face.

You know of some pokemon like Groudon and Kyogre, yes? Pokemon who can expand landmass or the ocean themselves? Uh... I believe a pokemon of similar magnitude of power..." Oh dear, he can hardly listen to himself or bring himself to continue. "Brought me here from another e-era." He sounds absolutely delusional... Maybe he'll just pass out or escape through a window or set the building on fire or

"W-huh? Are you-" Wisteria was cut off by Gaia raising her hand.
"Hisao, yes? I can tell you're aware of how... outlandish your situation may be, do you happen to have anything to prove you're from another time?" She questioned softly. Perhaps she didn't fully believe you, but she seemed much more willing to understand than the flabberghasted professor. "Perhaps just tell me about the future?" She suggested
"Hoenn?" She looked at Wisteria for some elaboration, but he merely shrugged in response. Her expression remained neutral as you explained your odd circumstances, as opposed to Wisteria's much more perplexed expression, warping further and further into disbelief as you continued.

Hisao turns on his phone and hands it to her. "In the future, we use things like these to communicate far distances or to entertain ourselves. It's pretty much useless for those purposes in this era though. We also continue to research pokemon, but living side by side with them is very common. Civilization grows and so did our bonds with them."
