Madeline smirked. *more like what DIDNT I make?*

Ryu smiled at his freinds, waving at Asuka when she got dropped off.

Asuka strides over to the others with a bounce in her step, looping an arm over Ryu's shoulders as soon as she nears him.

"I'm hearing that we'll be getting a showcase about all your new inventions once heroics class starts in the afternoon," she says, voice loud as Choji laughs in a quiet whirl of blades.

Once he finishes, Choji gestures towards the open gates, where their classes are soon to begin. "Since we're all here, let's head on inside!"

The duo smiled and nodded, walking inside, curious.

Sunlight filters in through large windows as they walk through the small hall and take a left towards their classroom. Stepping inside, they find themselves in the presence of a few of their classmates. A pair are sitting together, chatting, while the others are dispersed through the classroom.

The group look around, curious. Ryu snifffed the air, eyes wide. *wow.*

Asuka settles herself at one of the desks, dropping her bag at its feet before making herself at ease. "You guys okay with sitting by the front?" she asks.

The duo smiled and nodded.

"Perfect!" Asuka says, nudging her bag closer to her desk before she begins spreading out her belongings. A pencil bag covered in the smiling portrait of an animated woman with flaming red hair, and a notebook with the characters for "Mathematics" written in a bold, if messy, hand.

The true reward, though, is the assortment of candy she takes out. Chocolates, hard candies, gummies, all wrapped in cute, colorful packaging.

Shoving a handful towards her friends, Asuka turns towards the other students in the class and asks, "Any allergies?" Her hand stretches out, a clear offer. When the others are slow to reply, preoccupied by surprise or politeness, she smiles and flings them out with showing accuracy.

Returning her attention towards Ryu, Madeline, and Choji, she smiles, eyes curving. "Now there shouldn't be any problems with us eating, right?" she hums. Then, her face freezes in realization. "Er, you can eat, right Choji? You sent some photos of food over break, but I'm not sure if those were just for your family?"

Choji nods in response, breaking the awkward air. "I can. The rest of me is still normal, so I need to eat." He opens a strawberry Hi-Chew and pushes a small compartment near the base of his head. The black material protrudes with a pop, leaving him to drop the candy in before a faint hum fills the room. "Thank you for the snacks, Asuka."

Ryu smiled and picked up a chocolate, before began pouting a bit as it began to melt in his hand from the ambient heat he gave off.

Madeline giggled and grabbed the chocolate glob, stuck it into a strange capsule along with a few other chocolates, closed and shook it, before opening it up. Then, with tongs, she pulled out a large steaming brick of chocolate the size of a tennis ball. *Dry-ice cooled chocolate. Good for smoothies, but also for your freind who melts any chocolate he touches.*

Ryu laughed before poking the treat and freezing. *. . . What is this sensation? Its. . . different.*

Madeline blinked before giggling. *thats cold! Apparently you can feel cold temperatures on extremely cold or frozen objects. Huh. I need to make an ice cave and test if you can feel cold air.* she muttered, grabbing a blueprint and beginning to sketch an idea for an ice cave.

Ryu rolled his eyes, amused, and chomped down on the chocolate ball.

Choji laughs at the exchange between Ryu and Madeline. "No way," he says. "Dry ice counters your abilities? I guess that makes sense, really hot and really cold, but I'd never thought about it that way."

Meanwhile, Asuka grins, leaning closer to Madeline. "Mm, tell me if you want some help finding a place to build that. It's probably a bit inconvenient, freezing up your lab since that'd make it harder to do any other experiments, yeah?"

As Ryu begins to eat, she turns back, curious. "In that case, how does your first bite of chocolate taste?"
