Sastrugi pauses at the statement, head turning back to gaze at the two even as she moves to leave. What she sees shouldn't surprise her, yet the kind grins do nevertheless. She offers a nod back and ducks through the doorway.
Ah, she thinks, isn't a little too much, assuming that we have the same taste? Nevertheless, when she arrives at the kitchen, it's to put in a request for a warming soup and a roast to accompany it. She doesn't know if Hakaishin eats raw meat, after all.

It's twenty minutes later when Sastrugi returns. Another IceWing trails behind her, balancing a tray of three small bowls and a large portion of walrus. They quickly set it on the table before exiting, leaving behind the steaming food.
She normally eats alone, but given the novelty of these two, she'll choose to have dinner with them. It should be quite... relaxing.

Sastrugi dips her head with a satisfied grin and begins to eat, taking small, neat bites as she does.
"Early, I mentioned the events tonight," she says. "The main event is a hunt, but if you're used to waiting out snowstorms instead of venturing through them, I would suggest participating in the others instead. There's a couple of duels with a variety of regulation."
"A couple are meant for testing your skills, but there's quite a few unconventional ones that have been organized for fun, such as snowball fights or tied tails."

Hakaishin grinned. *I have been told I throw a mean snowball.*
Tiamat chuckled. * its true. While not big, he can hit a dragons snout from multiple meters away.*
(Basically Hakaishin is a master of throwing objects. Spears, snowballs, rocks, bolas, whatever. 99 times out of 100, hrs gonna hit his target.)
Tiamat smiled. *I think well enjoy going to some of these events along side the hunt. Will you be there? Both to the events and the hunt, I mean.*

"In that case," Sastrugi says, "I'm looking forward to seeing you participate." The light of the snow globes slants across her face, softening the quirk of her lips into something like excitement. The Great Ice Dragon's Festival isn't every day after all, and it's always been something that everyone could enjoy without reservations.
"I was initially planning on joining the hunt, but if you're participating in the events, then naturally I'll take the opportunity to join in as well."
After all, she hadn't wanted to miss the day for anything, had been forced to by a challenge. With a good excuse though, there's no reason not to enjoy herself.
(Ooh, let's go Hakaishin. Is that something he's always had a knack for, or is there a story relating to that? :eyes:)

(. . . You know what? Lets have a dumb story for his throwing skills, and its a reference to Kong from the Monsterverse.
So Hakaishin. . .
He has some beef with the sun, and keeps throwing crap at it. So now hes a master at throwing.
. . . Yep. Thats what Im going with because its funny.
Also Hakaishin cant be blinded by bright light because he stared at the sun when yeeting stuff!
Also I guess Hakaishin has a very loud roar/battle cry too)

Tiamat groaned and let his head thump into the table. *why do you have to be so cheesy, dude?*

(I can't believe Monsterverse did that haha, that's hilarious :,) What a wonderful reason to be good at those things.)
Sastrugi tips her head at the movement, looking at Hakaishin's hand with scrutinizing eyes before she reaches her own with her claws curled inward, hiding their serrated edges to protect the other's soft skin and clothing.
Though they speak the same language, the discussion between the two is foreign to her. Nevertheless, she lets herself relax in the cheerful atmosphere, letting out a quiet, surprised laugh as Tiamat lets his head drop onto the table.
"Did none of your teachers tell you not to sleep on the table?" Sastrugi asks, a new teasing lightness to her tone.
