Somthing else, i'll have to flesh this out but it will be more akin to some kind of vigilanty or somthing like that, their goal wont be bad but they wont necessarely follow the laws much neather. The more i think about it the more i feel like going non-human, having them not fully understanding how humans work could bring some interesting plot points/interactions. XD And yea, totaly, i dont know if it would be better if they would take the whole rivalery it as a game or a challenge on their side. Both could be fun with the human going all out and the non-human trying to give off the same energy while just questioning everything in the background / almost slipping a few times out of habit.

Oh, a vigilante sounds like a lot of fun, especially with the non-human elements! I'm between having the detective let the vigilante keep their own secrets or try to figure them all out, hmm. Either way, having the human ask the non-human for help with some case he's having trouble with and then questioning how they managed to solve it could be great, especially with the general confusion about humans coming from the vigilante.

I think eather way it will be fun to see his confusion as time passe, in both cases i woudnt see my non-human feel too threatened by any of this well, until he finaly connect the dots then they may panic a bit depending on how it happen lol. Oh yea, totaly i can see them not understanding what the big deal was while giving a half explanation that make no sens like 'yea, it smelt like chalk and boiling water in there' and genualy expecting the guy to just understand what they mean.

It does sound like a lot of fun! I'm thinking of leaning into a more desperate detective who's looser in the way of morals for this one. Maybe he's looking for a childhood friend who's gone missing, and he strikes a deal with the villain?

Yeah, that sounds interesting! Maybe the more info the detective uncovers, they find out the villains the friend?

Heya, sorry for the long hiatus! I'm getting ready to move and begin the next stage of my life, which--while very exciting for me--has also lowered the amount of roleplays I can respond to drastically.
As such, that means that I'll have to drop our roleplays. However, I hope we can end this on a positive note! And, if I ever have the time the future and if you ever have the interest, I'd love to write with you again! :D
