Myles followed along, not trailing too far behind but just trying to take in what he could. Why were the stairs so weird? Not just the stairs, either...that one room. The upside-down one. This place must've been made hundreds and hundreds of years ago, did they even have anything to make things stick like that?

And then there was the ceiling that didn't have a door. There had to be something, right? Either that or someone seriously screwed up the blueprints for the place.

"I hope so! It hasn't even been that long and I'm already sick of staircases that lead to nowhere," he grumbled.

She led the way.
The door was cut and shaped as if it were wooden, but was smooth and cold. It was made of colored glass. She pushed it open.
Somewhere along the way, she'd lost track of what floor they should be on, but they appeared to currently be on the ground floor.

This opened into another sweeping furnished area where everything--the table, the silverware, the walls, the paintings, even the cushions of the seats and the rugs--were made of colorful glass.

She saw a set of doors leading towards the outside and could see tower rubble a short distance away. If they continued inside it looked like glass bedrooms were straught ahead.

"I think it'll be faster if we go outside." She suggested, hoping that the doors were functional and unlocked.

She tried the next door: success!
She stepped through the door. The glass-theme continued-glass pavestones, glass flowers, even a glass tree with a glass birds nest, eggs, and birds.

There was a line of glass horses and dogs-frozen pawing at the ground or sniffing, ready for a hunting party.

Had she seen any of it from afar she would have believed it to be real. The detail was amazing.

For as many staircases they had climbed and gone down, this surprised him, but not in a bad way. He wasn't going to have any complaints about being on the ground floor.

Myles stopped short upon seeing the colored glass. He wondered what this room would look like in broad daylight, but didn't dwell on it for long. He went out the door after her, the glass theme turning unsettling real quick. Sure, it was beautiful, but why would anyone want or need so many things made of glass?

Roxy sprinted to the edge of the debris crouching to look into the pockets in the debris. "Hello. Can anyone hear me?" She asked in mid-voice, worried about causing the precarious pile to further shift.
She heard a bark and howl coming from farther along the pile of rubble.
"It's okay." She cooed trying to locate the source of the noises.

Myles started, not so cautiously, down the pile, sliding. He crouched so he wouldn't fall on his butt as he slid. He listened for where the sounds came from as Roxy kept talking to the animal. Each time he heard a noise, he tried to get closer to it.

"Oh, careful!" Roxy squeaked.

"It's coming from up there." She said listening. "I see something-to the right of your hip!"

She looked around for any tools they could use. She pulled a door from the debris in the other pile and used it to brace the area between Myles and the dog. In the hopes that it would keep the rubble in place. She pressed herself against it.
"Can you get to it safely?"

He turned and knelt down. "Guess we're going to find out," he replied, quickly swiping away debris and attempting to pull the dog up and into his arms. "Just give me a minute. How long can you hold that?" He tried to hurry but also not hurt the dog further than he already had.

Roxy scrunched her face and blew the dust away from it without moving her arms. "Uhh, I think I'm good? "

She could see the tiny dog's muzzle shaking and snuffling at the open air through the crack. It was tried to dig itself out of the rubble with one paw.

"Let me know if you're going to drop it, okay?" He asked, not looking up at her. Once he saw the dog's muzzle and paw, his efforts grew slightly calmer and less panicked. At least it could breathe now. He attempted to move the rubble around the dog's head first.

" Will do," Roxy braced with a leg as she saw the debris Myles tossed falling aside.
