She came over and sat close by, starting to 'preen' even though they no longer where a mess. Shade smiled to her and all she gave was a small smile to satisfy him, although it was fake. Shade didn't notice it was fake so it cheered him up a lot.
He stuck his tongue out a bit, just as playfully.

She worked on a talon. But her eyes didn't wander, they where down and unfocused. Shade stayed snuggled close to Ash, tail wagging happily.
"Mmmm~!" Jason loved that, heart skipping a beat and his sound filled with pleasure.

It made her flinch, as if she'd been trying to forget the past situations, but she stood and came over to him and rubbed against his side gently. Shade clapped happily to encourage her.
Jason would think the same thing, if he allowed himself to use mirrors.

He would've said 'that wasn't me', but it was him. He had been excruciatingly aware of his surroundings even if he couldn't control his actions or words.

So that wouldn't be the best thing to say. It was best for him to let her keep snuggling against him, even as she buried her little snout in his side.
So he probably wouldn't ever be able to have that opinion.
(I just remembered how one day my second grade teacher put Onion instead of Opinion. I was the only one to notice it and point it out.)

Who said that wasn't a bad thing? If he saw how red he was, he might turn even more red, which is nearly impossible.
