Shade looked at his little talons and then made a fifty fifty motion.

That shocked him a little, considering the way Fatespeaker had acted towards him

Little Shade was more innocently forgiving and trusting than Fatespeaker. She was more intact with her emotions but she also thought she had to be the older one and know who and what to be weary of. In this case, she thought she had to be weary about Ash.
