"No, no I just don't want you to get in trouble... quick hide." Selkie whispered the last part.
Skipper was walking don the steps trying to be as queit as possible.

Kaladin silently hopped behind a crate, crounching low and quills raised at the ready.

Skipper walked down the steps carrying a small plate that had a fish on it. Skipper slid the fish through the bars, "Figured you might be hungry since you skipped breakfast."
"No thanks." Selkie pushed it back.
"Look I just don't want to put my crew in danger and this is less painful then the other options I had." Skipper looked around.
"Skipper I am no threat to the crew or to you." Selkie protested.
Skipper's ears twitched, "Who ever is down here you aren't suppose to be."

Kaladin stayed silent and still.

"Come out now and I won't punish you." Skipper growled.
"Must be a rat I've seen a few down here." Selkie suggested.
"The only rat I have seen is a stormcaller brat." Skipper growled at Selkie.
Selkie looked hurt.

Kal hesitated, and slid out of hiding. Not that it mattered; Skipper would have either searched the room or recognized his scent sooner or later.

"Kaladin why am I not suprised? I needed your help anyway." Skipper looked at Kaladin.

The echidna eyed the wolf up and down, then took a step back. "What with....?"

"With choosing the coarse." Skipper answered him, "Since it is your clan that is at risk I thought I'd let you chose whether we got help from South Island even though it would take longer we would be stronger or go straight to the Island and confront Void and Black Beard now."
Selkie's jaw nearly dropped.

Kaladin frowned and glanced down at the floor. "...I suppose the advantage is in getting assistance. My people can't reach the ships, but the ships likewise won't be able to reach the clan, who stay inland."
