I'd stop and look to the forests to possibly find something that could provide shelter if it started to rain. At the same time I'd take and eat one of my packed vegtables.

Eating some of your veggies to kill the hunger, you look to the forest and see it is a few miles away and has become a mere Silhouette on the horizon.

Patting down the long grass to make a somewhat comfortable bed for the night, you lie down and rest your eyes, escaping into a dreamless sleep until morning.

The trek is quite boring, but you make it to the mountain base successfully. The stones are sharp and parts of tue mountain have a steep slope. A few trees litter the otherwise barren area.
