Orion didn't know what to say. He thought she was wrong. He didn't think she was a freak and all, and he hated the kids at her village for making her think that. "And you think I won't want to be around you because of that?" he said, not knowing how to say she wasn't a freak because she had her mind set on saying she was one. He took the pencil on his desk and began rolling it between his fingers, keeping his gaze on Jora.

Jora closed her eyes still turned towards the window. She tried breathing slower to reduce the smoke she saw floating up in front of her eyes. She swallowed. "You can't really blame me for thinking that. I have never really had any reason to think that people wouldn't react.... Negatively about me." She paused and smiled behind her hair. "No matter how nice they are..." She hated herself for telling Orion anything. He didn't need to hear her sad sob story. She opened her eyes and looked out the window.

Orion stood up, and walked to the other side of Jora's chair. "I don't blame you," he said, and muttered under his breath, "I blame them." He grabbed her hand, hoping he wasn't embarrassing Jora. 'I'm not like them. You gotta trust me. I'll be your friend," he said, once again thinking how cheesy he sounded. I hope she trusts me on this. She shouldn't have to worry about having people leave her and calling her a freak. He stood there, trying to catch her eye so she could see he meant what he said.

Jora took her hand back after squeezing Orion's hand. She didn't know what to say to him and she was too scared to turn around to look at him because of the smoke that was surrounding her face. Se knew he wasn't like them but she couldn't help wondering if Orion would really not think of her as a freak. She knew she was but having someone who wouldn't think so around sounded like it would be good.

When he realized she wasn't going to reply, Orion said, "Jora, trust me. Besides, if you think I'm gonna leave you, then why don;t you tell me why know so I'll leave sooner?" he said, before realizing how bad that sounded. "Not that I'm going to leave."

Jora sighed and reached up to pull her hair behind her ear but stopped and just said. "Because I can't say it. It's more of the visually that makes it... Freakish." She turned away from where Orion was a little. She didn't want to hurt his feelings but she couldn't help it. She looked at the smoke as it rose and her hands started shaking.

(Now it's my turn XD *Digs in bag* I guess I'll have to try breaking it with Thor's hammer! XD)

(*takes ax and cracks knuckles* Let's do this! Or try anyway... XD)

The scent of smoke reaches Orion and he looks for the source. He's only mildly surprised to see Jora at the center of the small whiff of smoke. "Does it have anything to do with the smoke?" he asks gently, hoping he hasn't pushed her too far. He knew that he wasn't going to leave her over the smoke. Partly for selfish reasons. He hadn't had many friends before either, and he hated the idea of having to make ones all over again.

Jora put her hands on her face. She was hoping it hadn't gotten so bad that anyone could tell. She took deep shaky breaths hoping to dispel the smoke. She knew that it was bad to just have the smoke but what if some fire forced it's way out in the classroom, she'd never make any friends that way. She parted her fingers and looked threw them. She didn't look at Orion but manage to squeak out, "A little."

Orion wanted to hug her for the third time that day. He couldn't stand seeing her this upset again. Orion glanced around. No one was watching them anyway. He hugged Jora, hoping she wouldn't mind. He stood back up, blushing, and hoping she wasn't embarrassed.

(Oh. I do have one left! XD)

Jora wasn't expecting a hug. She looked at Orion for a second then back out the window blushing and smiling a little. She pulled her hair behind her ear. "How are you so nice?" She whispered. No one could be that nice. "You keep amazing me...." She said a little louder as she felt her cheeks cool a bit.
