"The wax doesn't work that well. Loralei is very powerful siren and if she got scared off we have something huge to worry about." Skipper growled.
"Loralei and her pod swam off without a fight? Yeah we are in huge trouble." Selkie agreed.
"From you."
"What?" Selkie took a stpe back.
"You heard me when your eyes changed colors the sirens stopped singing. Later on your eyes changed again and Loralei swam away." Skipper took a step toward Selkie, "And you know sirens can sense danger more so than a sailor."
Selkie took a few more steps back.

Locke observed the two from the side, fur bristling slightly in anticipation.

Skipper drew his cutlas, "I think she sensed a stormcaller turned traitor."
"I am no traitor Skipper." Selkie was against the side of the ship. His eyes were sea blue and had the storm deep inside of them.

Locke growled softly and took a step froward. "No crime's been commited yet, Skip." He informed him, firmly.

Skipper growled, "Better to be safe than sorry. Lock him up."
Selkie paled, "I just want to rescue my crew Skipper please."
"I said lock him up Locke." Skipper ordered him.

"Ah ain't aboot ta do anthin' tha' unjust." The collie replied calmly, eyes flickering amber.

"Fine I will do it myself." Skipper grabbed Selkie ruffly and forced him down in the hull.
"Skipper I am no traitor." Selkie kept repeating.
"You can't control your powers so it's for the saftey of the crew that I am doing this." Skipper shoved him and the hull and locked it.

Locke growled, but there was more harm in starting violence then doing nothing... for the moment, anyway. The collie nodded once. Give it time.

Selkie curled up in the dark hull silently crying.


"It's safe now you can come out now!' Skipper called out.

Locke rolled his eyes.

Kaladin nodded to Douglas and went ahead.
