Modest
I give one last snarl at the dead wolf and set off at a sprint towards my pup, following her scent

Veranda
I stumble backwards, tripping over my tail in my attempt to back up. I puff up, much like a cat, and give a nervous bark, "Who are you!"

Modest

You pick up her scent quickly. Either she didn't know how to cover her tracks, or she wqnted to be sure you could find her. You chuckled in amusment.

Veranda

"Misty Mourning. Might I ask yiu name?" She replies.

Modest
I follow her scent, not knowing what to expect when I find her

Veranda
I tuck my tail beneath me, whimpering a bit, "momma told me not to tell my name to strangers!" she barks

Modest

You freeze. You can see that Veranda paused for a second-her paw prints are more clear- and then broke into a run-her pawprints are barely visible.


Veranda

"Ah, okay Honey. Then I won't bother you about this. What brings you to my corner of the woods?" the wolf droned on.

Modest
I give a howl, hoping she can hear me

Veranda
"A mean wolf attacked me and my momma," I told her, eyes narrowed

Modest

You contenue after her pawprints. THen, you hear your pup talking to another wolf a few strides away.

Veranda

You hear a distant howl as the wolf replies. "The Black Ones? Was the wolf black?"

Modest
I snarl cutting off my pup as I leap in front of her voice, letting out a growl of "who are you?"

Veranda
my eyes open wide but I am happy to see my mother safe

Modest

The pale whit wolf lounges on the rock. "Misty Mourning. Nice to meet you, darling."

Veranda

Yiu can see that yiur mother is pretty much boiling with rage.

Modest
"Who are you!" I snarl, still shaken up from the other wolf

Veranda
I stay silent, pressign against my mother

Modest:

"Misty Morning," she says lazily, "I already said so."

Veranda

The white wolf seems to not notice your mother's rage. Well, that and the two wolves behind her...
