Flame made sure to catch the best looking prey, and ended up with a plump rabbit, a juicy looking sparrow, and a mouse. "As a rouge I learned to always go for the best prey. I'll give this rabbit to the nursery. They'll be our future warriors, so they need to grow big and strong."

Suntail nodded.She discretely caught two more squirrels then turned her attention to Flame."They will be our future warriors,Berrykit,Dreamkit,Duskit and...Grimkit might not,with that cough,and his stubby tail."She looked down."But I'm sure he could still become a medicine cat or something" She brightened."C'mon,let's take this back to camp." She picked up the three squirrels and pile of mice she had caught while Flame picked up his pile then she padded back slowly to camp,deep in thought.

"Cats can live without a tail." Flame pointed out. "I was friends with a kittypet named Oso, and he had a stubby tail. He ran away from his twolegs and was a great hunter. I mean, he couldn't climb trees or keep his balance where he needed it... but Oso was happy." Flame suddenly seemed lost in his memories with the brown tom cat that had a stubby tail. Sun tail sensed Flame's sadness and nudged him."Hey,chin up.It's ok,I'm sure Oso rests peacefully in Starclan" She purred and licked his ear "Perhaps he has become friends with Darkkit.He was my brother,he died of Greencough.Now Grimkit might do the same."She looked down."But let us hope that Dustsong and Aloepaw can save him."She strode forward and they walked the rest of the way back in silence.

Once they reached camp, Flame dropped the prey he'd caught on the fresh-kill pile, then took the rabbit he'd caught to the nursery. He quickly dropped it then turned to leave.

Sun tail felt slightly guilty.She padded to the sunning rocks and licked her self.She hadn't told the complete truth about Darkkit.Infact,he was actually Darkflame.He hadn't died as a kit,and he hadn't died from green cough.He had supported Silencestar and had been ordered to kill Suntail and Snowfur,who fought against him.But he had stood up to Silencestar and payed the price of his life.She sat up and stopped grooming.She sat up and padded to her den.Suntail snuggled into her moss and slept.

Flame exited the nursery, as Claykit began eating. She gave a look to Ravenkit and Badgerkit, her gaze asking if they were hungry. Ravenkit slowly padded up to the rabbit, and sat down next to Claykit. Ravenkit took a bite, and his eyes opened wide.

Flame trotted up to Sorrowpaw, his eyes bright. "Sorrowpaw! Ravenstar has a special mission for you and me." He said, his tail swishing.

SorrowPaw's eyes were filled with caution, "Okay..."

"I need you to leave camp first. After a couple minutes I'll follow." Flame said, giving a glance at the darkening sky. Flame nodded, his tail swishing faster. "I'll meet you there."

"Where?" SorrowPaw asked, her ears twitching.
