I'm the one who doesn't fit in anywhere. The word echoed in Orion's head. He actually got scared of me I'm sure. He looked at Jora. "Is that what you really think? That you don't fit in anywhere because a few kids called you a mutt? Jora.." he trailed off, knowing that the last thing she needed was him lecturing her. Instead he said, "That's what I thought about myself too. If I didn't fit in at home, than I wouldn't fit in anywhere. I found out I was wrong when I met you," he said, blushing. What if she feels like she doesn't fit in because of me? He voiced his thought, too worried to not say it. "Is it.. because of me?" he asked quietly, dropping his gaze, scared for the answer. Just as he felt like he fit in somewhere...

Jora couldn't help but look up at Orion, surprise and a small amount fear written all over her face. "No. It's not about you at all. I'm just..." She paused thinking of what she was going to say. "different. Very, very different. And it's not just a few kids...." She said thinking that it might be enough of an answer. She turned back to looking out the window. "I don't know what normal is even all I know is that I'm as far from it as anyone could ever get." She looked around out side to see if there were any birds in the trees.

"I don't think there's such thing as normal, Jora. Everyone's so different from each other. Besides, normal isn't always a good thing," Orion says, relieved that Jora hadn't felt like she didn't fit in because if him. At the same time, he was more agitated because she was so unsure of herself. Maybe even afraid of herself. I wish she didn't feel that way. I'm not 'normal' either.

Jora smiled a little. "You just said that there wasn't a normal then say right after that it's not good." She wasn't normal she had known that her whole life. "I'm not normal in the least but you are at least all something instead of a..." She paused for a moment than said so quietly she was rather sure no one could hear her. "mutt." She waited a second the said a little louder. "In comparison to me you're extremely normal. Not that it's a bad thing!" Jora added quickly, her voice traced with fear, hoping Orion wouldn't be offended.

Orion said, "I guess I wasn't making much sense. I guess I meant that I don't really care if you aren't normal." He wanted to hug her again, but she'd probably feel awkward, even though no one was watching them. If she gets upset again.... He blushed when he realized how protective he was being of her. (Short...)

Jora just kept quiet and stared out the window. You don't now, but later... She thought to herself. She was mad at herself for even thinking he might be just like the kids at her village. However she couldn't help but wonder how much he'd want to hang out with her when he realized how much of a freak she really was. "You'd be the first..." She whispered very quietly almost sure Orion wouldn't hear her.

Orion hated seeing Jora like this. "Jora, why do you think that I'll stop being friends with you? Tell me honestly please," he said, wanting to reassure her that no matter what she said, he'd still be her friend. I probably sounded really cheesy just then. I just hope she'll answer me honestly.

Jora watched a bird flying outside. She didn't want to tell him the truth, it sounded stupid even to her. "I don't know..." She said quietly. She knew why and hoped Orion wouldn't hate her if the fire comes out of her. She saw a small wisp of smoke flow up in front of her eyes. She crossed her arms and rubbed them still looking out the window. "You don't know a third of what makes me a..." She swallowed her breath and said, more quietly. "A freak."

Orion hated that she was calling herself a freak again, and wanted to deny it. But if I don't know what she means by that 'one third' then I can't comfort her very well. He groped for the words he wanted to say and finally managed to say, "That would mean that you're only one third a freak, because the two thirds of you I do know aren't freaky. And I doubt that one third of you is a freak anyway. What are you talking about anyway?" he said, hoping it hadn't all been gibberish to her.

Jora smiled a little at the window. "You don't know that. I meant that you don't know two thirds of what makes me a freak." She sigh and looked over at the clouds her hair still hiding her face. "All of me. What I look like, what am I, how I think...." How I can't control throwing fireballs at peoples faces She paused to add it to herself. "You know stuff like that." She added.
