Ajal snored lightly wimpering in his sleep. "No not again." He whined in his dream.

The sun had just set at this point in time, so Knuckles was still awake and doing his job, though particularly irritable. He curiously glanced up at Ajal at the whimper.

Ajal had tears streaming down his face and was whimpering. "Leave him alone. Hagin please I am begging you."

The echidna just continued to watch in silence. He could guess what the wolf was dreaming about....

"No no no." Ajal whimpered dreaming of the cave in and the molments before it.

Knuckles paced a moment, then, struck with an idea, let out a shrill whistle. "Diiiiiiizzy!" He called.

Ajal tensed up at the noise.

A few minutes passed before the call was answered by Dizzy, a grey wolf. You called?
"Sure did. He's dreamin'. Can you work your magic?" Knuckles asked, stooping down to the canine's eye level.
Leave it to me, Guardian. Dizzy replied, trotting over to Ajal and nuzzling his head against Ajal's chest.

Ajal jumped up then fell backward when he felt Dizzy's head against him. "I thought you said you wouldn't throw me to the wolves if I messed up.''

"Is he trying to maul you?" Knuckles answered Ajal's question with his own. "I promise, Dizzy doesn't do that. Saved my life once, actually. You can pet him if you want; he's pretty much a puppy in a wolf-sized package."
