A few things have been knocked over. Enough to make some noise, but not so much that it would wake his mother. It's very dark in the kitchen, but there's definitely something here- not really anywhere to go from here without him spotting it or them.

Drake looks around for the person or persons who caused this mess. He did not intend to let anyone harm those who he cared about ever again. And if this intruder or intruders tried to harm either Mrs. Waverider or Drake himself, Drake would destroy them.

He soon sees what made the louder, second clatter- a few of the pans got knocked over onto the floor. He can't see them, the corner's too dark, but they'd definitely make a louder sound.



The creature is nearly gone by the time she's out.

Chelsea looks around looking for any signs of the creature.


Drake looks around. He knew the sound that woke him up wasn't caused by the pans falling but instead was caused by another quieter sound.

He can barely see anything clearly with how dark it is.


She sees it distantly.

Chelsea tries to follow the creature without being seen.



Drake carefully moves back towards the stove which has a drawer beside it that has a flashlight in it. Drake hopes the batteries are still working in the flashlight.

Thankfully it doesn't seem to have noticed her.



They seem to be charged.

Drake turns on the flashlight and carefully parts the darkness using the beam of light.


Chelsea keeps following the creature curious about it.

He spots a humanoid figure on its side under some of the overhanging shelves in the corner. He glimpses it just long enough to notice it when he looks through the room, and it seems to be unconscious or at least incapacitated.



The creature keeps walking.

Drake carefully approaches the creature under the shelves. He was worried but at the same time didn't want to take any chances.



Chelsea keeps following the creature. She senses something powerful coming from it but can't understand why.
