She doesn't bother saying anything. She just walks at a terse pace towards a room.

He followed.

They come to a decently sized room lined with fridges and containers of snack food. From the looks of it, the curitors go through a lot of it daily.

"Meat, fruit, or vegetables?" The curitor asks flatly. She sounds like she'd rather be doing something else right now.

*meat.* he said.

She nods and unceremoniously drops him onto one of the seats. She walks away, towards one of the fridges.

He watched.

She returns with a container filled with what looks to be hippocampus meat. He's never had that before- the sirens have a monopoly of sorts on that particular cattle.

He stared hungrily.

"It's all yours." She shrugs. "I'm the only other one who likes fishy meats and I've got plenty at home."

His tongue suddenly extended out to a STUPID length, wiggled in the air like a snake, then wrapped around the food before he took it all into his mouth and chewed before swallowing it all.
