There was a laugh, then the sound of claws scraping against concrete, loudly.
"My my, no need to be too scared. I don't bite... to much," There was another laugh, "Come on over, I just want to play. If you want to fight I'll be glad to comply. Just say the word."

Abyss bared his teeth, spreading a pare of bat like wings and folding them over Jasper to keep him safe. "Who are you?"

"Me? A nightmare perhaps. I prefer not to say, maybe if you ask nicely," They said, clearly taunting Abyss, "Or maybe you should tell me who you are! I'd rather ask first before forcing it out of you."

"My name is Abyss, I'm a shadow so best not mess with me or my friend." He tried to look and see if he could spot who the voice came from.

"Guess I should introduce myself. Everyone calls me Bat. I prefer to remain unseen until my target is alone. It's my game," It was hard to tell where the voice was coming from and there was no one in sight.

"That's an awful game." Abyss scoffed.

Jasper peaked out of Abyss's wings, looking around wearily.

"No it's not, it's very interesting. You should try, very fun! Never know unless you try. I like my game and will never stop!"

"That's a little narrow minded, doing the same thing over and over again all the time." Abyss said bluntly.

Jasper put a hand over his friends mouth, not wanting him to offend the creepy Bat person.

"Narrow minded? Maybe, but it makes me happy. Would you prefer I don't? Or would you like to continue my little game? Fun!"

Jasper hissed."Not fun, leave us alone."
