She suddenly hears a chorus of barking and snarling behind her. The boy bursts into a run, tugging her along.

Sparky runs after him, trying to keep up with his pace, she stumbles slightly every once in awhile but quickly gets to her feet.

She's suddenly lifted off her feet, something pulling her up by her shirt. A second later, Scarlet plops Sparky onto her back, the boy landing next to her a moment later.

"What.." She grips onto Scarlet, tense and nervous.

The dog is much faster than both of them. It feels really weird to ride on her, but it's clearly more effective than Scarlet staying at their pace.

Sparky grips onto Scarlet tighter, tense, she had never ridden anything, much less a triwolf while blind.

After what feels like an eternity, the barking behind them fades to silence, and Scarlet slows to a stop.

"What color are the triwolfs? Are we safe now?"

"They're grey, brown, black, or a mix of the colors. And yeah, we're safe."

"What color is Scarlet?"
She jumped off Scarlet's back, running into a wall. She stumbled backwards.
