Yes, it was. And for years, he'd never stopped searching. He'd gone far and wide, clinging to a sliver of hope that she wasn't ... well, you know.

Yeah, I know. Well, maybe far and wide wasn't the best option. Maybe she was closer to home than he thought.

Actually, she still was. She'd only been taken from around the local area. But he only took round about checks now and then, he couldn't often risk being shot.

Heck yeah. But he was still looking best he could, but losing hope.
D was still purring.
One of Saphs hands had gently begun clinging to Kate's shirt as she slept, nuzzled against Kate as if the little one was taking refuge in her.
