Ajal ran to the base then seeing Knuckles wasnt there chaos controlled.
Ajal landed underground right under Knuckles and freaked out. He backed into the wall and dropped the chaos emerald.
Whered it go? Ajal felt the ground around him trying not to freak out again.

Ajal freaked out even more rememboring rocks raining down from sector thirteen. He bolted right down the tunnel his mind replaying that awful night.

Ajal was out of hearing range by the time Knuckles called out. The chaos emerald was there though.

Ajal didn't heard Knuckles through his memories and fear.
Left here,straight, next right should get me to the entrance of sector thirteen. Ajal's mind may have been in a panic but his muscles weren't. He kept running until he ran into a wall. Ajal freaked out and started crying remembering what happened in sector thirteen.

Knuckles closed his eyes, trying to zero in on the Chaos Emerald.... Found it. He rushed down in that direction.

Knuckles eventually found the Chaos Emerald on the floor of the tunnel and sighed. "Where did he go....?" He whispered. He hadn't memorized his scent yet, so tracking might be an issue.... He began to trudge down the tunnel.
