(Wow, it must be serious, then. I guess moving is out of the picture, and I can't think of too many other reasons why...maybe one of his family members got sick?)

Sapphire's tears are what pushed her off the fence. "Um...why don't you stay here for a while? Until you're better?"

(He's a sincere guy, he would talk to me about it. Things are tough between us but we still are able to somewhat speak with one another calmly of things we need to be confided with.)

He looked to her hazy confusion.

Sapphire nodded, cuddling against Luke's leg. It made him wince, he was burnt all over.

"I do not believe specimen D-H-3 would pleasure in seeing me sooner than later."

(That's good! Maybe one day you guys can be friends again, like good, close friends. So I guess I have no clue what could be going on.)

"Yeah, I know." She kind of considered sneaking him in, but she figured that wouldn't end well. "But it doesn't look like you're even going to make it back to your house."

(Yeah. Nor do I have any idea, but I keep trying. He was a bit annoying with to sweet compliments? Well guess wat, dude! I'm ganna be annoying with my worries!)

He nodded. "My apartment is a fair distance." He admitted, Sapphire clinging to his leg. She sniffled softly. "Iiiii n....iIiii n."

(Well, you do have a right to be worried. You guys were best friends.)

"Stay right there. I'll be right back." She went to D, and told her that she had invited Luke to stay until he was better

(Yeah, I guess so. He was my only best friend over these years. The first kid at school that was nice to me, that showed me how to work things in the class right and he showed me how to be a good friend.)

Luke nodded, swaying a bit more.

Sapphire whimpered softly as she saw him sway.

D's response was thankfully not angry but she did seemed more panicked and fidgety. Her fang dug into her lower lip badly, her hands cracking her knuckles over and over in most every direction she could.

(That's really nice of him! I'm glad he was there to help.)

Kate took D's hands in hers. "Hey, it's okay. I'll make sure he won't do anything to you."

(I'm glad he was there to help as well, or I wouldn't be who I am today.)

D was shaking a bit. "Nnnn ... okay. But I hate him still."

(Yeah, the good people in our lives are important, as well as the bad ones.)

"That's okay. I'm not asking you to stop hating him. He's in really bad condition and needs to heal. He can't make it back to his apartment, or else I wouldn't have invited him in."

(Yes. Oh so true. *Nods*)

She nodded, swallowing. "Okay."
