Jack didn't fight, just stayed by their side, though he'd noticed their wound and had put his own hand over it as well to help put pressure on it.

Ray wasn't sure how to respond when Jack put his hand over theirs to help. "What to think of that..." Ray mutters to themself. "I mean, you could think a lot of things, but I find it rather startling that someone would try to help you even after then many things you've done-" they interrupted themself, "Shut up, Ray, I didn't ask you for your thoughts."

Jack asked if they were okay.

Ray laughs, "Of course I'm alright. I talk to myself a lot. Don't you?"

Jack shook his head. "I don't."

"Oh..." Ray thinks about why he wouldn't while they did. "... Maybe you have to have a past life to talk to?"

He shrugged. "I'm not sure."

"That sounds weird, doesn't it? The whole having a past life." Ray shrugs and keeps themself from talking out loud to answer the question. They busy themself with cleaning their place up. "If I knew I would be having visitors I would have cleaned it up more... Just goes to show how much of a mess I can be."

Jack looked around. "I think it's nice."

"Thank you, I do try." Ray says, heading to a low table, on which medical supplies, a watch that they had taken apart and back together, a few papers with sketches of places and people, and a few other random things were scattered. They knelt at the table and took the supplies they needed to stitch themself up.
