Ian noticed, all right, and was actually pretty smug about it, but he didn't say anything about it. Yet.

Hazel continued to look over here and there.

Brook got on the bus and sat in the seat across from Hazel. She noticed her looking at Ian.
"Who are you looking at Hazel?" She smiled a little.
Hazel didn't answer. She just rolled her eyes at Brook and went back to her phone.

Ian leaned so he could talk to Brook. "Hey, I realized that I didn't have a nickname for you. Your name's Brook, right?" He was smirking.

"Yeah? Uh... do I really need a nickname?..." She said a little worried and confused.

"Yes! Lover boy has one, and so does half-pint." He jerked a thumb at Hazel. "So, since you're lover boy's...hey, are you guys official?" He asked.

"Uh... I-I think so?"

Hazel glared at him.

"Takin' that as a yes." He sat back, examining her. "Fish bait," he pronounced.

"Fine... Here's one for you. You're a player." She smirked a little.

Hazel looked away from the two.

"Huh. Not very original, don't you think?" He replied, unfazed

"No. But it fits you well don't ya think?"
